February 2026

Core Equation: A Thankful People = A Loving Church.

This February, we return to the most foundational catalyst for personal and corporate transformation: a heart of gratitude. Our 2026 journey “Back to Basics Towards Transformation” begins not with a program, but with a posture. Psalms 116:1 reveals the irreducible sequence: Divine Encounter (He heard me) → Human Gratitude (I am thankful) → Covenant Love (Therefore, I love).

When we drift from thankfulness, our love for God and for one another grows cold, transactional, and conditional. We return to the basic, transformative practice of remembering and declaring God’s specific faithfulness. This thankfulness is not a passive feeling but the active, collective memory of the church—recalling who God is and what He has done.

A congregation that practices this discipline becomes, by definition, a more loving church. Gratitude:

  • Softens Hearts: It replaces entitlement with humility, criticism with grace.
  • Shifts Focus: From what we lack to the abundance we have in Christ.
  • Fosters Unity: Shared thankfulness kills comparison and jealousy.
  • Compels Mission: Love received and acknowledged naturally overflows in love for others.

Transformation Pathway for February:

  1. Basic Practice: Cultivate personal and corporate thankfulness.
  2. Transformational Outcome: Become a more authentically loving, unified, and outward-focused community.

This month, we actively rebuild the foundation. As we become a Thankful People, we will witness the Holy Spirit transform us into the Loving Church God designed us to be, empowered for His work in 2026 and beyond.

January 2026

  1. Apostles’ Teaching (Truth): Committing to grounding our faith in the Scriptures and the core message of Christ, prioritizing learning and doctrinal integrity.

  2. Fellowship (Community): Moving beyond superficial connection to intentional, supportive, and sacrificial life-together within the body of believers.

  3. Breaking of Bread (Worship & Remembrance): Regularly celebrating Communion to remember Christ’s sacrifice and gathering in worship for spiritual nourishment.

  4. Prayer (Dependence): Cultivating both individual and corporate prayer as the essential lifeline to God, expressing dependence and seeking His guidance.

A “Back to Basics” theme using this text is a call to intentional simplicity. It encourages stepping away from complex programs and peripheral issues to refocus on these essential spiritual disciplines. The goal is to build a consistent and devoted rhythm of faith that leads to a vibrant, growing, and impactful Christian life, both personally and as a community, throughout the year ahead.
